Flow State
Inspired by the vector fields used in math and physics to translate multi-dimensional fields and flows, I've imprinted the "flow state" I enter when creating pottery onto these pots. Each pot is hand-painted, meaning each dot was a carefully placed brushstroke.
Delightfully Simple
I've always been drawn to simple, understated elegance. These pieces are attempts at achieving "beautiful yet simple".
Topographical Contours
Another example of where my love for visual representation (charts!) come into play. The idea that we can map 3-dimensional concepts onto two dimensions is worth celebrating. Like the topographical maps that represent mountains, these contour lines feel like a representation of potential and magnitude.
Sand, Sea, Peaks
Moving from the East to West Coasts of the United States was magical. You'll find inspiration for these pieces come from the sandy shores of Cape Cod, the evergreens of the Olympic Peninsula, and the rockiness of both the Adirondacks and Cascades.
Nearly Pixel Perfect
These pieces are the most geometric. They feature striking contrasts of color and shape that makes handmade pieces almost feel digitally designed or printed.
